French & Hamptons Style
The Castelbourne Grande Post Traditional Outdoor Pedestal Lantern is a hexagonal lantern head set atop a pedestal base, built for driveway entrances, garden piers and front paths. Standing 73 cm tall and 32 cm wide, it has enough scale to mark an entry point without overwhelming a low wall or pillar. The black finish and clear glass panes give it the look of a heritage gas lamp, well suited to French provincial and Hamptons-style homes.
- Powder coated die-cast aluminium construction with a 5-year warranty against severe corrosion, so it holds its finish through Australian weather without a coastal exclusion zone
- IP54 rated and Class II wired, making it safe and reliable for exterior use at a gate, porch or driveway pier
- Takes a single E27 globe (not included) up to 60W, and accepts dimmable lamps if you want to soften the glow of an evening
- Clear polycarbonate glazing shows the filament and lets light spread generously across paths and entrances
- Weighs 3.81kg with a 22 cm square base plate, giving it a stable, grounded footing on a pier or plinth
- A matching spare glass shade is available, so the lantern can be kept looking sharp for years to come
A Hexagonal Lantern Post for Heritage Entrances
Look closely and you will see the faceted, six-sided glass housing tapering up to a pointed finial, with a shaped urn base below it — details drawn from old carriage lamps. It suits brick or rendered piers either side of a driveway, garden walls, or a substantial front porch, and pairs naturally with wrought iron gates, sandstone paving and other black exterior fittings.
Bring some old-world character to your entrance with this pedestal lantern.
