Teak Outdoor Side Table Carved | Hamptons Provincial Outdoor
French & Hamptons Style
The Hamptons Provincial Outdoor Side Table is carved on all four aprons rather than only at the front, which means it can sit anywhere in a setting without presenting a plain face — between two armchairs, at either end of the settee, or beside a sun lounge. The top is slatted solid teak with narrow drainage gaps so rain runs straight through, framed by a shaped and scalloped apron centred on a hand-carved scallop shell, and carried on cabriole legs that swell at the knee and taper to a plain foot.
- Solid plantation teak throughout, traditionally jointed — no veneer, no composite, no metal fixings on show
- Hand-carved scallop shell centred on all four aprons, so the table reads correctly from every angle
- Slatted top with drainage gaps, made to sit out in weather rather than be carried in
- Rubio Monocoat limewash as standard; raw teak and house finishes available to order
- Custom dimensions made to order for larger terraces or specific joinery
- Suitable for domestic and commercial specification
A Carved Teak Side Table for French Provincial and Hamptons Terraces
Place one at each end of the three-seat settee, or a single table between two lounge armchairs where it becomes the only surface anyone needs. Under a covered terrace it will take a lamp. The pale limewash sits comfortably with travertine, sandstone, painted weatherboard and limestone alike, which is why the same table works on a Federation veranda and a contemporary Sydney courtyard.
Solid plantation teak, traditionally jointed and hand-carved in our Indonesian workshop. Finished in Rubio Monocoat limewash as standard — a hardwax oil that penetrates the timber rather than coating it, so the grain remains visible and the surface can be spot-repaired rather than stripped. Also available raw, or in any of our house finishes.
A small piece that quietly finishes a setting — and the one most often ordered in pairs.
Care: Teak requires no sealing or oiling. Left uncovered the limewash mellows toward silver-grey over one to two seasons; under cover it holds its pale honey tone. An annual wash with mild soapy water is all the timber asks. Cushions should be brought under cover overnight and protected in poor weather.
