French & Hamptons Style
The Elmscourt is a cast aluminium outdoor wall lantern built in the heritage coach light shape favoured on Hamptons and French provincial homes. Compact at 26 cm high, 13.5 cm wide and 15 cm deep, it sits neatly beside a front door, on a porch pillar or along a garden path. The weathered bronze finish is cast with a mottled, slightly textured surface, and a pointed brass-toned finial tops the peaked roof for a period touch. Below the lantern’s four seeded glass panes, a shaped bronze backplate curves down to a decorative drop finial, echoing traditional gas-lamp styling.
- Cast aluminium body carries a 3 year anti-corrosion guarantee, so it holds its finish through Australian weather
- IP44 rated and Class I wired, making it a genuine exterior fitting rather than one adapted for outdoor use
- Takes a single E27 globe up to 60W; pair it with an 8W LED for a warm, low-running-cost glow
- Dimmable-lamp compatible, so light levels can be softened for evening arrivals
- Weighs a modest 0.77kg, straightforward for one person to mount
- Replacement glass is available separately, useful if a pane is ever damaged
A Heritage Style Wall Lantern for Traditional Entrances
This lantern suits weatherboard cottages, brick colonials and Hamptons-style facades alike, and works well flanking a front door in pairs or standing alone on a porch post. It pairs naturally with panelled doors, timber shutters and wrought iron hardware, bringing a settled, established character to the entrance.
Consider the Elmscourt for a front door that could use a little more welcome after dark.
