Style
Upholstered in a classic French light taupe linen, the Bordeaux French dining chair offers a classic French provincial look or Hamptons style look that really suits the Australian home interior. Its French features are soft and delicate, and it has graceful Louis XV curves, soft curved cabriole legs, scallop shaped apron and simple carved moulding all the way around the frame. This gives it a refined yet sophisticate French look.
Upholstery
The top of the chair is fully upholstered, so that the timber fame is completely hidden and only seen at the base. However, if you wish, this dining chair can also be semi-upholstered at the top to reveal the timber frame if you want the timber look to tie in with other furniture in your dining room. The back can also be upholstered with cane.
Materials and finish
This chair is a classic French provincial furniture design and is made from European beech which is the traditional timber throughout Europe for chairs as it is extremely strong and yet fine grained so that it can be carved with very fine detail. It is carved by highly trained traditional craftsman in Italy. We also offer a beautiful selection of hand carved European beech French dining tables. The finish of this chair can be in walnut timber finish, antique white or in any painted finish.
