French & Hamptons Style
This fluted glass bowl ceiling light brings Edwardian character to a hallway, dining room or landing without dropping too low from the ceiling. Measuring 43.8 cm in diameter and 34.3 cm in height, it sits close to the ceiling as a semi-flush fitting, making it a practical choice for standard-height rooms. The scrolled arms and fretwork trim in a walnut bronze finish give it the look of a heritage bronze ceiling fitting, while the amber-tinted pressed glass bowl softens the light it throws.
- Two E27 sockets take a maximum of 60W each, so a warm-white LED such as our recommended 8W E27 globe suits the fitting well
- Compatible with dimmable lamps, giving control over the mood in a dining room or entrance hall
- Ceiling pan measures 15.2 cm across and just 3.5 cm deep, finished to match the fitting in walnut for a neat fit against the ceiling
- Steel construction with pressed glass keeps the fitting a manageable 2.85kg, straightforward for most ceiling roses
- A spare glass shade is available separately, so the fitting can be kept going for years to come
- Wired for mains voltage (220-240V) with Class I construction, for indoor use only
A Traditional Ceiling Light Built on Period Detail
Look closely and you will see the overlapping arch pattern pressed into the glass bowl, echoed in the die-cast fretwork above it, along with a turned finial finishing the base. It is a design that draws on traditional British architectural themes, and pairs naturally with French provincial or Hamptons-style furniture, panelled walls and brass door hardware. Fitted at an entrance or over a dining table, it holds its own without overwhelming the room.
Fit it where a hallway or dining room could use a little more period presence.
