French & Hamptons Style
The Ashendale half lantern is a traditional outdoor wall light cast in black aluminium, built along the lines of old carriage lanterns. Standing 44.5 cm tall and 26 cm wide, it sits flush against the wall with a shallow 14 cm projection, making it a good fit for porches, entrances and verandah posts where space is tight. The faceted glass front, held in place with decorative moulded strapping, throws a warm pool of light through the clear glass panels while keeping the fitting itself compact and unobtrusive.
- IP44 rated, so it copes with rain and exposure to the weather without hesitation.
- Cast aluminium construction carries a 5-year anti-corrosion guarantee, useful reassurance for a fitting left outdoors year-round.
- Takes a single E27 globe up to 60W; lamps aren’t included, so a warm-white LED such as our recommended 8W E27 globe is an easy first buy.
- Compatible with dimmable lamps, letting you soften the light for evening use on a porch or verandah.
- Class II wiring and a 220-240V mains supply for straightforward installation by an electrician.
- Weighs 1.89kg, light enough for standard wall fixings around a front door or side entrance.
A Heritage Style Porch Light for Period and Provincial Homes
The stepped finial, hexagonal roofline and black cast finish give this lantern the look of a French provincial or heritage-style fitting, at home either side of a front door, along a verandah, or lighting a garden path. It pairs naturally with wrought iron balustrades, timber shutters and other black exterior hardware, and suits weatherboard, brick or rendered facades alike.
Bring a little old-world charm to your entrance with the Ashendale half lantern wall light.
