French & Hamptons Style
The Cotebrook Traditional Lantern Aged Grey brings a heritage style porch lantern to entrances, verandas and covered outdoor walkways. Cast in aluminium and finished in a weathered grey tone, it hangs from a length of chain and stands 40 cm tall with a 19.1 cm width — a scale suited to a front door porch or a covered terrace rather than an open, exposed wall. Scrolled ironwork at the crown and base, along with clear seeded glass panels, give it the look of an old carriage lantern.
- Cast aluminium construction carries a 3 year anti-corrosion guarantee, so it copes with rain and coastal air without pitting or rust.
- Drop adjusts on installation from 45 cm to 1.4 m using the supplied chain, so it can be hung to suit porches of different heights.
- Takes a single E27 lamp up to 60W (not included) and is dimmable, so a warm-white LED such as our recommended 8W E27 globe suits it well.
- Class I fitting wired to mains voltage (220–240V), IP23 rated for use under cover — best sited beneath an eave, portico or veranda roof rather than fully exposed to weather.
- Weighs 3.6kg, light enough for standard ceiling or bracket mounting without special fixings.
A Cast Aluminium Lantern for French Provincial and Hamptons Exteriors
Hang it either side of a panelled front door, along a veranda, or over a garden gate where its scrollwork and aged finish read well against render, brick or weatherboard. It suits French provincial and Hamptons style homes particularly well, and pairs comfortably with wrought iron balustrades, stone urns or painted timber shutters.
