French Louis lounge setting

Christophe Living’s recent design project encapsulates the very best of French design and comfort. Last year were approached by two Sydney businessmen, who after years of living in Sydney had the growing desire to fulfil their mutual dream to create a French provincial boutique hotel in the Blue Mountains.

As fate would have it, upon looking for a property, they came across Falls House, the perfect place to build their dream retreat. Our aim was to create a beautiful, unique and restful French interior and most importantly to ensure that it would be a wholly rejuvenating, comforting and homely space.

Wingback chair in settingVilla Athena is comprised of the Studio Suite (originally John Olson’s studio) and two Stable suites. The Studio suite is the more luxurious suite of the property, with it’s signature Louis XVI hand carved and painted four poster king bed, it is the epitome of French luxury.

Beautiful toile swags decorate the windows and outside in the Athena garden are established rose covered arches. The Studio suite’s décor is richly warm but it’s not overwhelmingly.  Drawing upon the very best of French provincial design it offers a relaxed and comfortable setting where one can fully recuperate and rejuvenate.
