Designing your comfort in style
Our sofa making and upholstery workshop is where we make all our frames out of premium plantation timbers. Christophe Living uses premium Australian foams with long warranties and we choose the density that suits your comfort requirements. We can finish your French lounge with studs, piping or sown lines.
Our upholstery craftsmen are highly trained and dedicated to delivering the best quality.
How we design your sofa
THE SOFA STYLE
First we look at what style you prefer – the back, cushions, shape and size of arms – and we review as to how it relates and fits into your existing décor. We work with both modern and traditional French and Hamptons style sofa designs. We also have a large selection of feet to complete the design, and for that very special touch we can also add carved timber arm fronts and back rails.
THE MATERIALS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP
Our highly trained craftsmen use both the most innovative techniques as well as traditional methods like hand sown spring upholstery. We offer high quality foam as well as feather wrap, feather and down, and full down cushions.
Most of our fabrics are from European mills and we import our leathers from Italy.
SOFA ERGONOMICS
People come in all shapes and sizes and we make sure that your future sofa matches yours. Our sofa specialist has over 25 years experience in sofa comfort and ergonomics, ensuring healthy postural shaping and comfort. We measure for you the ideal seat height, depth, the right angle of the back and the type and firmness of seat for you.
FABRIC AND LEATHER SELECTION
Our designer Jean-Christophe will assist in the fabric selection. We look at all the factors such as how it matches and enhances your décor, durability, and ease of cleaning. We stock the finest selection of European fabrics for you to choose from. You can upholster your furniture in any fabric or leather.
Feel free to pop into our Double Bay shop to see our fabric range. We also offer a hand-painted fabric service for a completely personalised option.
FABRIC PROTECTION
We have researched the best fabric protection method that is environmentally friendly, non-toxic and VOC free. We also can recommend an ongoing protection and cleaning service from our upholstery protection specialist.
ORDER AND DELIVERY

Recover & upholstery repair service
We also offer a re-upholstery service for your own chairs and sofas so that your quality sofas and chairs can have their life extended and comfort increased.
