Occasional Chairs

Our French occasional chairs are exquisite additions to any interior setting be it a lounge, bedroom, entrance or sitting area. There are a few salon chair styles for you to choose from. Our French salon chair is a very refined option in timber and white. Our Versailles is a more luxurious option, and the Louis tub salon is perfect for the bedroom with fully upholstered arms and back. There is also the square back Louis 16 salon chair which works well with modern interior. In white our chairs offer a more Hamptons style look. You can choose the fabric and finish for your chair.

French occasional chairs

Salon chairs are a smaller version of the traditional bergere, the French Louis armchair. They are a perfect seating addition to a bedroom or lounge area that won’t take up too much space. Our salon chairs come in the Louis XV style. Our salon chairs can be painted and polished to your requirements and come with the option of cushion or dome seat. We also offer the option for cane back inserts to be fitted, giving the chair a lighter appearance

Chair upholstery options and styles

The salon chair can be upholstered with closed arms for a softer look. When fully upholstered we call them ‘tub chairs’ which have a unique and special look and are well suited to a bedroom. If you are looking for a slightly smaller size chair, we also offer the option of a salon tub chair. The distinguishing feature of the tub chair is its rounded back, providing extra comfort as the rounded upholstery hugs your back. Some of our tub armchairs come with a triple panel with timber moulding between the sides and back, which frames the chosen fabric. Our tub chairs can be painted, polished and upholstered to your requirements, and we offer the option for a loose cushion or dome seat.
